Karma itself is timeless. It transcends the past, present and
incorporates the future. Karma is energy acting upon nature and nature
reacting against the impact of that energy -- being a combination of the
two factors. It derives from “action” and “doing” that has taken place
in the past, is showing up in the present while shaping a future event.
This means that each day we are activating karma through our choices.
Karma is like seeds planted at some point and the fruits they bear come
later.

When it comes to relationships, the karmic effects are often
misunderstood and our reaction to the ripple effects only stands to make
it more difficult or to aid us on learning and understanding the
lessons of the past. Karmic relationships are thus valuable gifts that
can help us on our spiritual journey. This can only occur however, if
we're willing to let go of the petty ego structures that we create out
of fear. We need to understand that karma has no boundaries or
limitations. This forces us to take into account that our greater
existence precedes and exceeds this lifetime.
